Ha, I wish. Really what's happened here is that I somehow managed not to realize how very very soon I am leaving for Poland. Eeeep!
That needs to be finished within a week. I nearly finished the plain stockinette knitting, except my ball of yarn ran out. Never fear, I have more, but I need to wind it up. After that, lots and lots of picking up stitches, and ribbing, and a little seaming. In a week. I like deadlines, right?
I started the second sock. I would also like that to be finished within the next week, so that I can cast on for a new pair of Monkeys to travel with. Oi. (Yes, I realize that all I have done is the cuff. I remain optimistic.)
That is three pounds of sock yarn. I've decided to open up an Etsy shop upon my return from Poland, though it would help if I could come up with a catchy name. Worst case scenario, I have lots of hand painted sock yarn for myself, if no one wants to buy it. Since I've already decided that I like knitting socks, this isn't too much of a problem.
The plants are still amazingly alive, even though I left them to fend for themselves all weekend. In fact, they seem to have managed better than I did - I got eaten alive by bugs, and had the worst allergies to my mom's house ever. Stupid Binghamton.
Off to find a power converter, and a hoodie, and travel stuffs! And then more knitting! Ahhhh!
PS - Ya know that big electronics chain store? Two words, both starting with a B? They still suck. They were completely useless when I wanted to buy a camera. They were totally inept when I wanted to buy a surround sound system. And they still lose at life, because the guy at the front of the store who was supposed to help me find what I needed? Yeah, he had NO IDEA why I would need any sort of converters or adapters to use my electronic stuff in Europe. Thank goodness there was a Radio Shack nearby, where the gentleman working there showed me to exactly what I needed in about 3 seconds.
