Oh, last week.. Where to start?
Well, I got on a bus and wound up here, which I'm sure is old news to most everyone by now. My first goal was to get in line for something I have missed every year since I started making the trip to Rhinebeck in 2007. But not this year... this year, I was successful.
Later in the day, people were asking about my sweater (rav link) . But while I was eating, all anyone wanted to talk about was where I got that pot pie. Even though I was safely in line before noon, quantities were already running low.
Foliage was gorgeous, as usual.
I showed surprising restraint when it came to buying things, coming home with a shawl pin, a pendant from Jenny the Potter, two bags of maple cotton candy, and two skeins of yarn. My stash has reached alarming proportions and I didn't really need to add much to it.
A little more Rhinebeck-y goodness, and then back onto the bus home.
Back to Boston later in the evening, and early to work the next morning - had a lot of work to do, and a 6pm flight to catch. My first trip to the midwest - hello, Wisconsin! And what the heck is that thing dangling in the middle of the hotel?
Turns out, Milwaukee can be pretty fun.
A few days in the midwest, and a few more beers than I usually drink.. and back to Boston. Just in time for one more day at work, and the laziest weekend on record. Lots of knitting during all that travel time though - hopefully I'll have a finished mitten to show for it soon.
